There was a time when I never would have hired a coach. I thought that I could do everything myself. It wasn’t until I hired a coach for my bikini competitions that I realized how valuable it is to have someone next to you guiding you and supporting you.
So when I found out my friend, Eric, was doing life coaching, I was immediately curious. I was looking for someone to help me work toward my goals and I really admired how Eric had made the transition from corporate world to coaching world quickly and successfully.
At the time I was pregnant and feeling a lot of creative energy but not really ready to commit to coaching because I wasn’t sure how my life or energy would change with a new baby. Eric sat down with me and gave me a few great tips in the meantime:
- Start journaling everyday
- Schedule your day in your calendar– this will help keep you accountable
Eric told me that coaching is all about asking the right questions, and his questions really helped me to clarify my goals. Finally, at the end of our conversation, he wrote something on a paper that he thought would help me: “What other people think of you is none of your business.” I don’t know about you, but I am constantly worried about other people not liking my work. I put a lot of heart and soul into everything I do, so negative feedback really hurts. But Eric was right! Not everyone is going to like me. Not everyone is going to like what I put out there. If I let fear paralyze me I will never accomplish anything.
After my meeting with Eric I had renewed motivation. I started to push forward on things I had pulled back from out of fear. In the following few months I made huge strides toward my goals:
- Got certified as a Health Coach
- Got certified as a Pre/Post Natal Exercise Specialist
- Got interviews and updated my book
I saw such tremendous growth that, after I had my baby, I knew I wanted to work with Eric. Now Eric is keeping me accountable and helping me see what steps to take to achieve my goals. And having that support is invaluable.
If you have fitness, nutrition and health goals, I’m your girl! If you work with me, I will stand by you, support you, hold your hand (if needed ;)) and give you the knowledge you need to succeed. Oftentimes, accomplishing health and fitness goals gives you new motivation and desire to accomplish other types of goals. When that happens, Eric is your guy.
Right now, Eric is giving away his Daily Agenda so check it out if you are interested in working toward your goals.
